Lego is a great product, I have enjoyed them since I was young and I appreciate the ability to build structures from a plan that has been provided, but also to build something totally different based on my own imagination!

This is a great castle. It has lots of pieces, so you can take it apart and make lots of stuff. I have several lego sets, this is top quality.
I do not like that lego has went away from base plates on this castle, but it is cool. This isn't a base plate type castle, it comes apart at its corners and is connected by technique pins which is pretty cool for play value. You can make this into several different play models so I guess that is why no baseplate, raised baseplates are what I am speaking of.
The price is a little high, but all lego sets are. For the replay value and educational experience for kids I guess it isn't that bad. I would recommend this castle to a friend or fellow lego collector. I hope lego keeps up the quality of the fantasy era castle line all the sets have been great and this is no exception.
This is big for a lego castle, the largest of my castles actually. I have a hard time displaying it, I have every piece of the fantasy era castle collection, this and the medevial market are my favorites.

There should be more proper protection for the packaging such as cushion or paper wrapping around the box.

I have been looking for this set for a decent price. The part/price ratio is good. There is a nice number of included mini-figs and the lego detailing is top-notch. With 973 pieces it also makes a great collection for building other castles/mixing with other castle elements. [...]
