I'm still not quite sure what is more fun for the boys with these Rock Miner series - the actual truck or the adorable (don't tell them that!) little rock monsters that come with them! We have quite the collection of these little dudes and all the boys HAVE to have them! This one in particular is very detail-oriented, scoops up the crystals and actually helps to dump them into the trucks before the rock monsters can eat them. Love the story on this set too - you have to watch them on lego.com. Great, great set, VERY loved in this house, tons of playtime too. Highly, highly recommend!

The mini figures are very cool. The vehicle is impressive too. Don't throw away the rubber band that comes with it. A good buy for the money.LEGO Granite Grinder

The toy is ok, but the rubber band broke before 1 hour of normal play. Luckily for my son, I had a very similar rubber band that I had found that fits the toy perfectly. This part is not available on the Lego website on the brick by brick catalog, and is not listed either on the missing/broken/lost parts for that particular set. I'm surprised by the low quality & lack of replacement or extra parts, since I've always been happy with Lego quality in the past.

I am a 8 year old I have to say this is one fun LEGO SET!!! It came with an axe dinomite a chainsaw and 2 gas tanks. this dose not come apart but the little light dose. I like the the blue rock monster and its crystal.It can hold everthing besides the dinomite. and last it was 10$.

Pros:
Interesting set up for the small size, with movable parts and 2 guys (one blue rock monster). Good detail with included stickers. The Miner has a reversable happy/angry face.
Cons: Some of the parts will easily get lost (a rubber band?), mining bucket not actually attached to the vehicle.
Summary: Challenging enough to provide a fun build, the characters and items lend to fun playing afterward.
