My husband, 2 year old son and 5 year old daughter all love this building set. My 5 year old helps my husband build. My 2 year old doesn't build yet, but he loves watching them and then playing with the creations. It's amazing how many different things you can build from this one set. But I still ordered the larger 70 piece set so they can build even more. It's a toy that allows my husband and children to create, build and play together. It should be dubbed a "quality-time toy". =)

My two year old received this toy and she has absolutely loved it. She quickly picked up on how to use the tools and put things together and plays for hours building and rebuilding fun contraptions with this set. I highly recommend it! One caution though is that that the screws can break if the bolt is tightened too tight.

Absolutely perfect! Only problem is that you need more parts believe it or not to make all the pictures on the box. Just get Build it Bigger if you can find it. Play together so they can learn and then off they go! Even the (advanced) two year old can play with it. The tool is only helpful because little ones do not have the strength to fully tighten it. Adults do not need it. Educational, creative, builds imagination and manual dexterity. GET IT!!!

My two-year-old received this gift from Santa. I was unsure of whether or not she could really build things, even though it says two and up on the box. Well, she loves it, and can assemble and disassemble pieces without help. In order to build actual things she needs help, as she can't follow a pattern yet, but this toy keeps her occupied for a long time. Her older sisters enjoy playing with it, too. Unfortunately, the tool that's included is a socket/screwdriver combination. It would be nice to have two separate tools, so that she can hold the nut and screw in the screw with tools at the same time. Build it Bigger, an expansion set, is already on my list to buy in the future.
