I bought this set because it was cheap (at the time it only cost $3.49) and I wanted the cool figure and robot for my Lego collection. This set comes with one very cool Astronaut figure that has a very detailed printed head and torso; he also has a white helmet with a gold visor. The Astronaut is equipped with flashlight, which could also be laser gun. The mini-robot itself is a very very simple build when finished it looks sort of like a Gonk Droid from Star Wars. The mini-robot is equipped with a pick-ax and a crystal-detector. You can also place the power crystal inside the robot's storage container. Well, here are the basics of the set:
The good things
Astronaut
Mini-robot
Flashlight/laser gun
Pick-ax
Crystal-detector
Power crystal
The bad things
Only one power crystal
Over all, I highly recommend this set.
P.S. if you want more Lego power crystals, you can buy them off "Pick A Brick" on the Lego website.

This little mini robot is fun, and it comes with a Mars spaceman minifigure. It is a nice addition to the other Mars Lego sets. Keep in mind this originally cost about $4 when it came out. The whole set has about 20-30 lego pieces. I can pretty much guarantee that at $19.95, you won't feel you got your money's worth. As far as durability, the pieces are lasting fine, but of course, the finished creations fall apart just like all other Legos.

This is such a cute addition to this set! The astronaut with the robot helps to mine the energy crystals needed back on earth (guess we finally DID run out of gas!). The robot hides the crystals in his chest from the aliens and is super cute. He's very well loved in this house. You need two sets of this one if you're going to make a dent on Mars' surface. If you're scared away by the price on this guy, you can get him at the giant toystore with an r in the name (not online) for four dollars. Great, great toy, glad they came up with this series. Boys love space travel and this set really provides a different element. Highly, highly recommend!
