 "Complicated" 2009-12-29

I picked this up being that my son is a huge lego star wars buff. I assembled it in about 5 hours. It took quite some time, but the end result was unbelievable. I wouldn't suggest it for anyone younger than 13, since it is complicated and you have to make sure the pieces fit tight. Mine never fell apart while I was assembling it and I'm not about to let the kids destroy it. The next step for me is to glue it together. This is a puzzle to enjoy after the hard work. WOW, Lego has some really talented and artistic people working on their designs!

 "PA Mom" 2009-12-25

We purchased this for my son for Christmas. He is 8. While we are accustomed to the Lego Star Wars toys needing to be reassembled frequently, we couldn't completely assemble this toy as it kept falling apart. After several hours of frustration, we gave up. REALLY POOR ASSEMBLY DESIGN. Don't waste your money on this toy!!

As to Star Wars Lego toys overall, I love them but it is frustrating as a parent to have a company aggresively market a line of toys to your child and when they get it, not being able to have extended meaningful play with it as some piece is always falling off. It makes me very hesitant to purchase Lego Star Wars toys in the future.

 "A Display Piece..." 2009-05-31
By C. Mason (USA)
My sons have several Lego kits, including a dozen or so Lego Star Wars kits. Going into it, you expect a certain number of fix ups as they are set up and played with, but this kit is the single most frustrating toy that my kids have ever received. It cannot function as something that is used and played with because of major structural flaws in the design. The slightest shift or attempt to lift the "sails" causes the entire center to shift or go to pieces. Beyond that, even in the hands of someone who is adept at Legos, fixing it is a real ordeal.

I would avoid this kit unless you are going to build it and stick it on a shelf. In that capacity, it is quite cool, but as anything other than a display piece, it is a disaster.

"best set I ever had! But not a great price." 2009-02-21

This set is amazing and very durable but somtimes when you try to take count dooku out of there the opening breaks. But over than that this set is perfect, the magna gaurds, piolet droid. Also it is kinda rard to put count dookus speeder on. I nearly fergot, the landing gear can only land on hard ground or it well not ballince.

 "For Display Only" 2009-02-07

This is the most fragile Lego set I've ever seen. We have a number of Star Wars Lego sets for our son, but we've never seen one break like this. We're constantly helping him fix it.

The set itself is pretty cool, but is only meant to be looked at. Most of the moving parts break off when you try to use them. It's very frustrating.
