My son is a huge Disney Cars fan and wanted this for his 3rd Birthday so we got it for him. At 3 years old he cannot put the pieces together and obviously can't read the directions, but with help from mom we assembled it. It kept his attention for just a few minutes. There isn't much to it and the pieces are separate platforms and such, not connected. Maybe with additional Cars sets it would be more fun...or maybe better for 4-6 year olds. Not much substance for $35.
