The Harry Potter sets can be combined to form a much larger set with the Hogwart's Castle as the center piece. This set connects with set #4712, Troll on the Loose, which is how we have our sets assembled.
This particular set features a door that opens into Slytherin house. The best parts of the set are the extras, including a cauldron, a sword, a parchment, wands, jars of potions, and a cup. The figures for this set are Draco Malfoy, Goyle and Crabbe, the latter two also having Ron and Harry's faces on the opposite side as though they might be Harry and Ron in disguise.
While this set doesn't have as much action as some of the other sets, it does have a lot of nice extra touches, including more clear orange torches, a Slytherin shield, and snake decorations that can be used as part of a potion. The set colors seem to make this set more dark and sinister than some of the other sets, including black capes for the characters.
The set is one of the easiest sets to build in this size range. The assembled kit is also durable. There are few pieces of any fragility. The set is well matched to the age range on the box of 7 to 12 years of age. Perhaps the only worry might be that with all the accessory pieces it might be easy to misplace some of them.
This set is a great set for someone just starting to collect Harry Potter Legos, or for someone looking for a stand alone set, though the set is better when combined with other sets. I strongly recommend this set for fans of Harry Potter and for fans of Legos.

This set is really good even though it is not very big. The charecters that come with it are Malfoy, Crabbe(turns into Ron), and Goyle (turns into Harry). This set is best used with other sets that come with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. One of the best plot lines is to make the three of them duel. The set comes with extras like a door leading into the room, a cauldron, a sword, parchment, a jewl, and a cup.

Slytherin (along with The Forbidden Corridor) was my very first Harry Potter LEGO set. It was fun to put together and even more fun to play with.
This set comes with:
Draco Malfoy
Gregory Goyle
Vincent Crabbe
The cool thing about Crabbe and Goyle is that on the back of their heads is the face of Harry and Ron!
The 'stone' entrance to Slytherin swings open and has a snake shield on it, pressumably the Slytherin shield. This shield can also be found above the entrance. One can use this shield to protect Draco Malfoy in his duels against Harry Potter. Lord knows he needs it, because Harry will kick his behind to Year 1!
One of my favorite accessories is the pair of snakes. You can use these snakes when making Draco cast "Serpensorsia" (sp?) against Harry or whomever.
This set has neat little details like a bit of parchment with a foreign something written on it, several jars of potions, green swamp lamps, a sword (maybe the Sword of Slytherin, if such exists?), etc.
Slytherin is a great gift for a friend or even yourself. It's very easy to put together with detailed instructions. This set makes for great fun!

The Slytherin Harry Potter LEGO set is a GREAT set. This was actually my very first LEGO set. We were going early Christmas shopping... and I came across this set. I had heard of HP LEGOs and was a big fan of HP so I decided to buy this. I took this set out and built it and had a ton of fun. I thought the HP LEGOs were amazing and I was instantly hooked. Now I own many, many other HP LEGO sets and am proud to be a LEGO fan. This set is great because it gives you and an opportunity to have the Slytherin common room and the polyjuice potion scene. You can turn Crabbe and Goyle's faces in to Harry and Ron's faces by turning their heads around (though I just leave them as Crabbe and Goyle all the time because I have other Harry and Ron figures and because it gives you more characters to play around with). Another great feature in this set is that if you leave Crabbe and Goyle's head all the time it lets you have more characters. For example, with this set you can act out other scenes that include Crabbe and Goyle like in the Hogwarts express or at the Great Hall scenes or maybe when they go to Snape's class and other classes. This set includes: Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle. This set is a great set and also a great starter set that I would recommend to just about every LEGO or Harry Potter fan!!

There are 5 possible minifigs in this set. First you have Draco Malfoy, then Crabbe & Goyle -- all in Slytherin robes with black capes. But if you turn the heads of Crabbe & Goyle you see the faces of Harry and Ron! It's a nice idea if you can ignore that the alternate faces peek out on the backs of their necks. Slytherin House is themed in Hogwarts dungeon colours of grey and black with a dash of green. There are two main aspects in this set -- a potion section which I assume represents the Polyjuice potion so that one can have Harry & Ron transform into the two members of Slytherin and find out what Malfoy knows about the Chamber of Secrets. The other aspect is a the actual room, which (as pictured on the back of the box) can fit on top of the Troll on the Loose bathroom set. There are some great suggestions for alternate builds of the set on the back of the box as well as a picture of how all the sets in the Harry Potter theme can fit together. For the price this set has some nice minifigs, semi-transparent pieces, and 2 black snakes. This is set number 4735 with 90 pieces.
