A little complicated for my 5-yr-old granddaughter but she's taking it section by section. Many, many pieces but the overall kit is adorable. She has 2 brothers who tease her about her "girl" toys, but since this is Lego they can relate to it and there has been no teasing, even though most of the pieces are pink. As she completes each section it has been great fun to play with.

Was fun for her to built...completely alone, no help from us.
She did it in a day, and was able to play with at the end of the day.
As a little girl she said it's a GREAT gift.
And she is sad the Belville collection is not doing more set...she already have all the sets(puppies and horses).
As a parent I have to say, this set was easy for her to built, I would like something a little more complex.
I have to agree how cute is this house once everything is built.
I tried to have her choose another house of Lego, but she really wanted the family and the baby.
She was happy...now how long she will be happy with ??

This is a great set for girls who like Legos. My daughter is almost 8 and really likes horses so this was a great set for her. I was a little disappointed that there were not that many pieces compared to the price. Other than that it was great.

My daughter got this yesterday for her 5th birthday and she wanted to put it together right away. So we spent about 2 hours this morning putting the whole thing together. Probably wouldn't take others this long, as we spent some time trying to find distractions for her 2 yr old sister who loves to destroy things. :) We had a great time doing this together and I will be looking for similar sets for Christmas.
Also, for those considering this set for kids under 3, I would stay away. There are quite a few little pieces...and not just lego pieces. The stable has tiny flowers, and the horses have tiny bows, a tiny brush, and even tiny carrots and apples. Not only are they easy to loose, but they could easily be ingested.
Oh, and I agree with another reviewer. The $50 price is high. Even TRU is cheaper.

Just so you know, you can buy this toy for $20 less on lego's website. I'm not sure why they would offer it at this price. Good toy, but buy it elsewhere.

I gave this stable to my 3 yr old granddaughter. As soon as she opened it
her 9 yr old brother started building it according to the directions. After he was finished, her 6 yr old sister played with her. When they both left, she dismantled the legos and put them together in free form style and thoroughly enjoyed creating new objects. It was a big hit for all of the kids regardless of their age!
