These blocks advertise that they are compatible with all of the top brands... but they aren't ALL. They don't all even lock into place with each other (their own brand). They are all the 'short' blocks, which I could have seen if I had looked more closely. Here's the important part: MY KIDS DON'T CARE! They love them and have a blast. They don't mind that they slip free and they don't mind that they are the short blocks. They're happy, so I am, too!

The main reason my daughter selected this toy was she wanted her 4 year old boy to have a leggo like set but wanted large enough units that were safe enough to be around her one year old. This set seems to fill that bill. The four year old seems to enjoy the set, but I am not certain that it will hold his interest for long.

My son likes to play with these but gets very frustrated. Some blocks don't stay together. It's hard to make buildings because the weight will make the blocks fall down. Even I get frustrated with them. I'm surprised about the good reviews for this toy. Don't waste your money.

My grandchildren love these blocks that are very much like the ones that we brought down from the attic that their parents used. The quality and variety are excellent. It is a shame that for this much money that there are no printed sample projects to get kids started.

These blocks are awesome. I bought them for my 3yo and 2 yo daughters for easter. They have a lot of fun figuring out different ways to put them together. Even my 22yo son had fun with them. SO I guess they are great for all ages.
