"Wish I got it years ago" 2010-07-17
By Nick (Wisconsin)
This set is very small, the majority of the pieces are to the minifigures. It has great figures, my son's favorite, Luke Skywalker with a robot hand and the storm trooper is always a cool figure. It is hard to find this set now for anything less than $25 (normally with shipping). It is a great to have for a collector or a star wars fan. I can only wish that I bought this when it came out, along with about 10 other sets with the 2-3 minifigures. I could not pass this one up... Too much of a classic.

I asked for this set for Christmas, thinking there was more to it than what you see on Amazon; I was wrong. It has only 23 pieces, and it only took me like five minutes to put together! The only upside is that it is very durable, and it wood be good for ages 5-7.

"Good, but buy it with Final Duel I." 2003-11-26

Final Duel II is a pretty cool Star Wars set. It consists of three minifigs and a platform to put them on. The figures are Luke Skywalker (complete with lightsaber and gloved hand), a Stormtrooper, and an Imperial officer only found in this set. As with most Legos, this set was very durable but not very educational as it is very simple to put together. It's not too much fun to play with unless you purchase Final Duel I with it. If you buy both you can re-enact Luke and Vader's classic battle from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

This set is a must have for collectors who want to make the scene which I mentioned. For kids, it may be a little boring. Even so, I highly recommend Final Duel II. It's getting hard to find these days, so buy it today and may the Force be with you!

 "Finally a Stormtrooper" 2003-04-22

Finally, a Stormtrooper of my very own. This set is great if you are at all interested in collecting all of your favorite Star Wars figures in LEGO form. You can do just about anything with them. Personally, I decided to create my own chess set out of them. LEGO really has sold out in a way continuing to make less of the sets that used to make them great and instead showering us with imitative corporate syndication. But hey, I love Star Wars, so I'm buying them. Anyway, if you like LEGO and love Star Wars this is definitely for you.

"Don't get Final Duel 2 without Final Duel 1." 2002-11-28

I like this set because it has a good selection of rare minifigures. It comes with Jedi Luke Skywalker(complete with gloved hand), It has an Imperial officer(change the face because it's only a smiley face), and a Stormtrooper(Whoopee!!). It also comes with Luke's lightsabre, and a neat little structure that is supposed to be part of the corridor that Luke was escorted to the Emporor in. But overall, there is one fact. D'ont buy final Duel 2 without getting Final Duel 1 with Darth Vader and The Emporor. Its a very good collectible set.

"Best Harry Potter Set worth 10 bucks" 2002-12-14

This is the best Small Harry Potter set. It comes with Professer Quirell/voldemort and Harry Potter. It also has the sorcerers stone and the Mirror of Erised.

"If You've Got Ten Bucks Handy, Drop it on This Harry Potter" 2002-11-12
By (Chestnut Ridge, NY United States)
A few years ago, when LEGO got the Star Wars license, I was in hog heaven. LEGO purists may tell you that this has resulted in a "dumbing down" of LEGO toys, but me, I like it. I thought it couldn't get any better than that. And then came Harry Potter LEGO. Starting in September, the boy wizard and his friends and enemies have been appearing in plastic in various toys, ranging from stuffed owls, dogs, and dragons to action figures from Mattel, to Harry Potter LEGO.

If you're going to buy some Harry Potter merchandise for your pups, make it the LEGO. They're going to get a lot more play value out of it than the other toys that are part of a magical onslaught just in time for Christmas.

WARNING: If you haven't read the first Harry Potter book, this review will give away a crucial plot point...don't ruin it for yourself!

This is one of the smaller sets, but it gives you some very important and very fun pieces. The set costs ten dollars, has 60 pieces, and is the only way to get Harry's Arch Enemy, Lord Voldemort. If you haven't read the books or seen the movie yet, this little set is key to not only THIS book and THIS movie, but all successive Harry Potter adventures. And it's ONLY ten bucks!

This set represents a little chunk of Hogwart's, a castle which is a school for Harry and his friends. In this room is a magical mirror, called the Mirror of Erised. It's enchanted, so that when you look in it, you see your fondest dream. For Harry, this dream is to see his parents alive and well again--he was orphaned by Lord Voldemort when he was just an infant. The mirror is also a sort of secret chamber/revolving wall (I'm not sure WHAT to call it!) That hides The Sorceror's Stone. I haven't seen these secret panels before, but I understand the Hogwart's LEGO set is full of them. I like them a lot.

The minifigs that come with the set are Harry Potter and Professor Quirrell. Harry is decked out in his Gryffindor house robes, has a magic wand, and a black cloak with white stars printed on the inside. Very spiffy. His face also varies a bit from the classic LEGO smiley face... he's got his trademark round spectacles and a tiny lightning-bolt shaped scar over his eye. His hair is also a new kind of piece that I haven't seen before, that looks just like it does in the movie.

Professor Quirrell is wearing a purple turban and his teaching robes (he's a Professor of Dark Arts at Hogwart's), and he's got a somewhat disturbed/constipated look on his face. The reason for this disturbed face is revealed when you remove the turban to find.....Lord Voldemort's serpentine visage on the BACK of Quirrell's head!!!!

So this really IS the final challenge...where Harry confronts Voldemort. Your children (and you, for that matter) will want this set to complete Harry's adventures and challenges. Besides the remarkable swinging panel I mentioned, this set also includes some nifty pieces like a castle turret, a black owl, a bat, a spider web, a spider, and some torches. It fits in very nicely with the other castle sets from Harry Potter's world, or stands alone very well.

This was the first Harry Potter LEGO set I bought, and I loved it so much that...I bought a lot more. I wouldn't recommend just ANYTHING with Harry Potter stamped on it...but these LEGO sets are must-haves.

"A basic, yet fun set" 2002-03-28
By Wesley Young (Norman, OK USA)
From the viewpoint of a Lego collector, this is a very basic set, and quite small in size. From a child's perspective, I'm sure entire worlds are just waiting to be explorered here though. =)

It has nice features, including a "mirror" that shows Potter both with and without the Sorceror's stone in his hands, just like in the novels (this is a sticker that changes between the views depending on the angle of which you look at it). The Quirrel figure is very nice - featuring Voldemort's face on his backside (very authentic feature, and quite nice).

As a cost-to-features rating, though, I felt the set was just slightly overpriced due to it's limited scope and size.

"The battle for the Sorcerer's Stone" 2002-02-24
By AJ Mayers (TX)
60 pieces---#4702

This is it! It all comes down to this. Harry's adventures come down to the final challenge!

This set is small, at a reasonable price, and can be put together in about 10 minutes with the easy to understand picture instructions! This is also the only set with Professor Quirrel/Voldemort! I love the figure of Professor Quirrell, cause you can remove his purple turban to reveal Lord Voldemort in back of his head. You-Know-Who's face are detailed with red snake-like eyes, a slitted nose, and a thin mouth. He even has green lines down his eyes like tears. The Harry Potter fig is nice. I've noticed his scar is in the center of his forehead, but in the Hogwarts Castle set, his scar is more to the left! Anyways, it is my favorite little lego set! It is one to have. I even like the Mirror of Erised with the illusion of Harry having nothing in his hand, to Harry having the Blood red stone: The Sorcerer's Stone! The stone is just like the Hogwarts Castle stones, except red, and it looks like a diamond! In the castle set, it has 4 stones: violet, blue, yellow, and an aqua color. They look like the sorcerer's stone from the Final Challenge set, except for the color. This set includes an Extra Sorcerer's Stone! So, you get 2 in the set! When you constuct the main model, it has a web in front of it with an orange spider. Why is it there? Your guess is as good as mine. And it isn't Aragog! This set is great with the Forbidden Corridor, and the Chamber of Winged keys. Then you can act out the "Through the Trapdoor" scene! You gotta get this set, cause it is cool.

By the way, if you click on the amazon picture of this set above to see it larger and focus on the Professor Quirrel figure, you will realize it is Voldemort! They must Have put his head backwards, cause Professor Quirrell has an inocent face, and the picture has Voldemorts evil glare!!!

I think this is a great set. Since, this is the only set Prof.Quirrell comes with, it is a must for a HARRY POTTER fan.

It was worth the wait, and hope they do not sell out again so the rest of you avid fans can order it also.

I like this set as it has Quirrell and "You-Know-Who" on the back of his head! HURRY JUST DON'T SIT THERE READING THIS ORDER IT NOW!!
